Funerals

At a funeral service we gather together to give thanks for a unique human life which has come to its close on earth, to comfort one another in our grief and to commend the person who has died into God’s keeping. 

We will plan the service with you to make a personal and fitting tribute to the one you have lost. Do remember that any service held in a church within the Melton Team Parish or a burial or interment of ashes in one of our peaceful Churchyards, will be in keeping with the Christian faith, even if the person who has died and/or their next of kin are not committed Christians.  But we will work with you as sensitively as possible in arranging the service.

Ministers from the Melton Team Parish can also be available by arrangement to take a funeral service at one of the local crematoria if that is your preference.  For guidance, please check the link
