Confirmation
CONFIRMATION is the way we can make for ourselves the promises made on our behalf if we were baptised as infants.
At the Confirmation service, those being confirmed publicly express their commitment to follow Jesus Christ, and through prayers and the laying on of hands by the Bishop, the Church asks God to give them the power of the Holy Spirit to live the Christian life.
It’s a wonderful opportunity for anyone to say their own public ‘YES’ to being a Christian for life! If you haven’t already been baptised, then that can happen at around the same time as Confirmation.

We are planning to hold a Confirmation service in St Mary’s Church, Melton Mowbray, at 10.00am on Sunday 26th October.
It will be led by the Rt Reverend Saju Muthulaly, Bishop of Loughborough in the Leicester Diocese.
Those wishing to be confirmed are asked to attend sessions to prepare for the serious promises that are made during a Confirmation service (dates to be decided nearer the time). Part of the preparation includes the expectation that you will attend Sunday worship in church as regularly as possible
